Lyndall Ryan is a Research Academic in the Centre for the History of Violence at the University of Newcastle. She is best known for her pioneering texts on the survival of the Tasmanian Aboriginal people in the aftermath of a genocidal war of extermination. Her current project is to produce a digital online map of every frontier massacre in Australia 1788-1960.
