Elspeth Martini received her PhD from the University of Michigan in 2013 and was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Pittsburgh from 2013 to 2015. She is currently an Assistant Professor of History at Montclair State University, where she specializes in early and nineteenth-century North America, Native North America, and North American borderlands.
