Alexandra Wallis is a PhD student and tutor at the University of Notre Dame Fremantle, her thesis focuses on the female patients at the Fremantle Lunatic Asylum 1858-1908. She graduated with a BA Hons in History and English in 2014 from Edith Cowan University where she completed her honours thesis "Whores and the Law: a Case Study of the Sexual Double Standard and the Contagious Diseases Acts in Mid-Nineteenth Century England".
