Amy is a PhD candidate and academic in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (School of Education) at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), where she also completed her MA (TESOL). She is completing a PhD on the history of Australian colonialism and language policy in remote Aboriginal communities. She also researches and writes on LGBTIQ history. She has been published in Overland Literary Journal, New Matilda and The Lifted Brow.
