Dr Toby Raeburn is a social historian, educator and nurse practitioner in mental health. Currently employed as a lecturer with the faculty of nursing at the University of Sydney, Toby’s work in community mental health has led to several awards some of which include, a Fellowship and Mental Health Nurse Achievement Award from the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses, a Churchill Fellowship from the Winston Churchill Memorial Trust and a Mental Health Matters Award from the Mental Health Association of NSW. His research interests emerged from work developing nurse-led led services to improve mental health care for vulnerable groups (Homeless, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities etc). Toby's research interests include the social history of mental health care, homelessness healthcare, and Aboriginal health care.
