Douglas Craig is a Reader in History at the Australian National University. His research focuses on United States' political history, with particular reference to the interwar years of the twentieth century. His publications include After Wilson: The Struggle for the Democratic Party 1920-1934 (1992), Fireside Politics: Radio and Political Culture in the United States, 1920-1940 (2000) and Progressives at War: William G. McAdoo and Newton D. Baker, 1863-1941 (2015). He is currently working on a book project on the impact of the Great War on U.S. political culture between 1918 and 1941,
