Cóilín Parsons is Associate Professor of English at Georgetown University (Washington, DC). He is the author of The Ordnance Survey and Modern Irish Literature (Oxford, 2016), and is currently working on a project about the history of astronomy in the British empire and the emergence of modernist literature.
