ANTHEA HYSLOP taught history at the Australian National University from 1989 to 2009, and before that at Adelaide and Melbourne Universities, and at La Trobe University where she gained her PhD. She specialises in the social history of medicine, and is writing a book on Australia’s experience of the Spanish influenza pandemic of 1918-1919.
