I'm a PhD candidate at Harvard University interested in the history and anthropology of global political economy. My dissertation research examines experiences of socio-economic transformation amongst the 'new middle class' in postcolonial Indonesia with particular emphasis on the mechanisms that have enabled upward class mobility and the accumulation of privilege, as well as the vulnerabilities that inhere in new forms of prosperity.
