Kat Ellinghaus is a Hansen Lecturer in History at the University of Melbourne. She is the author of Taking Assimilation to Heart (2006) and Blood Will Tell: Native Americans and Assimilation Policy (2017). Kat writes and teaches in the areas of settler colonial history, transnational and gender history, and the histories of the United States and Australia.
