An Associate Professor at Te Tumu: School of Māori, Pacific and Indigenous Studies at the University of Otago, Lachy Paterson researches nineteenth and early twentieth-century Māori history, with a particular interest in textual culture. Together with Angela Wanhalla, he recently published He Reo Wāhine: Māori Women's Voices from the Nineteenth Century.
