Samantha is an early career researcher and a Humanities and Social Sciences lecturer. Samantha is a historian of post-1945 Europe and she studies the transnational conversations that take place over development and reconstruction. She is also interested in memory and nation. She currently working on a study of Community Education in the post-1945 Welfare State in Italy and Britain and her Ph.D. was a study of the Italian Centennial Celebrations as they were celebrated in Turin and Philadelphia in 1961.
